Every beach holiday needs one perfect selfie. The light was right, the sunglasses were on, the green umbrella made a lovely frame overhead, and the sea breeze was doing wonderful things to her ponytail. She lifted the phone, found her best angle and smiled. Then the dog arrived.
Not just any dog. A small white chihuahua in a smart black harness, with the confidence of a film star and absolutely no interest in sharing the frame. He did not jump in by accident. He positioned himself. Chin up, ears back, eyes half closed against the sun, like a model who has done this a thousand times and knows exactly where the camera is.
She tried to stay in the picture. She leaned in, she pouted, she offered a little kiss to the side of his head. He accepted it the way a celebrity accepts a fan’s compliment: graciously, briefly, without turning around.
Then came the moment that made the clip. Right in the middle of her best smile, the chihuahua turned to the camera and stuck out a bright pink tongue, a perfect little blep, as if to say: this is my beach now, thank you very much.
Anyone who has ever owned a small dog knows this energy. They weigh as much as a bag of sugar and behave like the owner of the hotel. They choose the best spot on the towel, the shadiest corner under the umbrella and, apparently, the front row of every selfie.
Honestly, we are not complaining. Her sunglasses are fabulous and her smile is relaxed and happy, but there is no competition here. The internet has spoken, and the internet votes for the tiny white dog with the tongue.
The best part is that she seems completely fine with it. There is no frustration, no second take, just a laugh and a scratch behind the ears. Maybe she knows the truth all pet owners eventually accept: you are not the main character of your holiday photos. You are the assistant.
So tell us honestly: who would you follow on social media, the lady with the sunglasses or the chihuahua with the attitude? We already know our answer, and it has four paws.
Don’t stop, friend, keep surfing!
